The Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting role is part of the Revenue and Revenue Share Team within the Accounting & Reporting function and reports directly to the Sr. Director of Revenue and Revenue Share. This position leads a team responsible for the financial integrity and accurate reporting of revenues for Yahoo products globally. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting for revenue and related accounts as well as leading and developing a team. This role requires the candidate to have exceptional technical skills and to be experienced in strategic and analytical thinking. You will need to have the ability to communicate your work clearly with various groups and management of all levels.
What you'll be doing:
  • Ensuring 100% controllership integrity
  • Leading a team of Revenue Managers and Accountants and maintaining accountability for team results
  • Providing coaching to team members and prioritizing team development
  • Establishing team level goals and coordinating work processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting processes and support of strategic company initiatives
  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of the Yahoo products and financial terms of revenue contracts
  • Working closely with various global finance and operations team members at all levels
  • Reviewing and approving work of team members including ledger activities during month-end close, fluctuation commentary for monthly management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and other reports and processes
  • Understanding business drivers and their effect on financial results to ensure business changes are accurately reflected in the financial statements
  • Leading reviews of current processes and drive process improvements to gain efficiencies
  • Ensuring adherence to financial controls, policies and guidelines and implementing modifications to these areas as needed
  • Fulfilling external audit and SOX compliance requests and ensuring compliance for the team.
  • Leading the team through complex projects and initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with at least 4 years of public accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching and developing a team.
  • Prior experience with working in a multinational corporate environment
  • Demonstrated technical accounting skills and understanding of ASC 606 and US GAAP accounting standards
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
  • Experience working directly with Sr. Executives and building relationship with diverse groups across an organization.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $111,750.00 - $186,250.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
