Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Systems Administrator leads the implementation and strategy of the Community Care Plan Data Center as well as Office 365 Administration, Server Infrastructure, Virtualization, SAN Management, MS SQL Clustering, VPN and Disaster Recovery, multi factor authentication and single sign on, and telephony integration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain internal network structure of the datacenter.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network components such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls, WLan Controllers.
  • Troubleshoot network systems to identify and fix performance issues.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex network and computer system issues.
  • Manage and administer servers, desktop, and laptops.
  • Manage and administer DNS/DHCP, FTP, Dialpad and AWS Call Center.
  • Manage and administer Hyper-V and VMWare environments.
  • Monitor and advise for growth capacity and planning.
  • Manage and administer Office 365.
  • Provide solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologies.
  • Design plans and lead initiatives for the optimization and restructuring of infrastructure.
  • Maintain current documentation of network administration, systems, and other technical assets.
  • Perform system repairs and update software/operating systems, network devices etc.
  • Calibrate and monitor datacenter servers to ensure efficient performance.
  • Collaborate with IT handlers, sales, and Datacenter Managers to develop action plan for improved operations.
  • Conduct inspections on power and cooling systems to ensure they are operational and efficient.
  • Organize the floor space that harbors data center equipment to allow for easy accessibility.
  • Resolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot user provisioning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 5 to 7 years' experience in the IT field
  • 8-10 years of experience in customer-oriented environment
  • 7+ years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange and File Servers
  • 5-7 years of experience managing SAN, Office 365, Virtualization, Multifactor Authentication, and Single Sign On
  • 5-7 years of experience managing CISCO appliances, scripting, switches, and firewalls
  • CCNA & Microsoft Certified Professional Certification (preferred)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Office 365
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Server/Desktop)
  • Knowledge of virtual environments
  • Knowledge of Dell SAN
  • Knowledge of Backup & Replication solutions for virtualized environments
  • Knowledge of Multifactor & Single Sign-on
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and user provisioning
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services Technologies
  • Knowledge of VPN Technologies
  • Knowledge of Telephony integrations
  • Ability to liaise with customers in an empathic and technically effective manner
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to advise to non-technically aware customers (either internally or externally)
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as on your own
