Job Description

insightsoftware is looking for a Staff Accountant – Partner Accounting for this fast-growing financial software company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. You will play a critical role in achieving insightsoftware's mission by overseeing the accounting for our partner network. You will be part of a cross functional team to assess and improve upon our processes and internal controls over our 3rd party distribution network. In addition, you will work closely with our Sales Operations team to ensure complete and accurate calculations according to the terms of the agreements. We are looking for an exceptionally smart and ambitious candidate who'd like a shot to prove their worth in a fast-paced, dynamic software company. 

• Maintain proper GAAP accounting for our agreements with our partners, royalties, rebates, and referral network
• Oversee internal processes to ensure accurate calculations and timely remittance to maintain good relationships with our partner network
• Review current partner agreements and enact change where necessary to improve calculation methods and internal processes
• Review new agreements and incorporate into the monthly accounting close process
• Communicate across functions to obtain data necessary to complete tasks
• Assist the accounting team in other areas as needed particularly at month-end close

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Ability to work within cross functional teams to drive optimum results
• Must be operationally-oriented with a keen focus on process, metrics, and results
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong understand of GAAP
• NetSuite and Sales Force experience is preferred
