We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller.
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll support the senior accounting team’s daily, weekly, and monthly operations with tasks including daily accounting, reporting, journal entry, account analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and financial closings (month-, quarter-, and year-end).
Note: This role is fully remote, however the candidate must reside in the US and be able to work without sponsorship.
What You’ll Do:
- Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Maintaining general ledger accounts: reconciling detailed and control accounts, adjusting entries for amortization of prepaids, analyzing and reconciling accounts payable ledgers, and preparing accruals
- Completing monthly account analyses and reconciliations for various income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Analyzing departmental expense allocations
- Helping prepare monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and annual audited financial statements
What We Look For:Â
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting
- 1-2 years of Public Accounting experience; Big Four experience preferred
- Strong accounting foundation; solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience working in general ledger systems preferred
- Have strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication, and great problem-solving skills
- Work well on your own and in teams to meet deadlines
- Are comfortable in a dynamic work environment where policies and procedures are still taking shape
- Pitch in and help when necessary, even if it means shuffling your priorities
Compensation:
Base Salary:
Salary Min: $70,000 USDÂ Salary Max: $75,000 USD
This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.Â
