Team: Accounting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Accountant based in the United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a fast-growing consumer products organization. As part of a collaborative accounting team, you will contribute to month-end close activities, retail accounting, financial reporting, and process improvements that strengthen operational efficiency. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions, including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, cash management, and audit support. Accountabilities

  • Prepare journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations for cash, revenue, accounts receivable, and other general ledger accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing financial analyses, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting documentation.
  • Review and approve domestic and international retail invoices while processing payments and credit memos accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain weekly and month-end accounts receivable reconciliations and assist with retail cash flow forecasting activities.
  • Record and monitor contra revenue and expense accruals while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and GAAP principles.
  • Partner with retail and accounting stakeholders to support day-to-day financial operations and strengthen cross-functional communication.
  • Assist in onboarding new retail customers and maintaining strong relationships with existing business partners.
  • Review customer agreements to identify key business terms and evaluate potential accounting implications.
  • Contribute to systems implementations, automation initiatives, process enhancements, and internal control improvements.
  • Support quarterly and annual audits, special projects, and additional accounting initiatives as needed.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting.
    • CPA certification and/or public accounting experience is considered an advantage.
    • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including accrual accounting concepts.
    • Experience working with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
    • Familiarity with SPS Commerce is a plus.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
    • Experience managing accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review financial data accurately and minimize errors.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
    • Strong communication and meeting facilitation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven remote environment.
    • Ability to work during Pacific Time Zone business hours.
