Job description
Small mail order pharmacy looking for part time staff pharmacist. We are a specialty pharmacy that custom packages RX medication and supplements in multi dose packets for individual patients. This is a unique pharmacy and unique role.
Pharmacist Job Responsibilities:
• Serve patients by preparing medications and monitoring patient drug therapies.
• Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Dispenses medications by packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals and supports order production when short staffed or needed.
• Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals.
• Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspection.
• Maintains records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Maintains inventory
• Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management on needed actions. Maintain multi state licensing and renewals
• Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Work Hours: MWF or MTWF: 4-5 hour afternoon shifts based on staffing need
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $58.00 - $62.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
Education:
• Doctorate (Preferred)
Experience:
• Clinical pharmacy experience: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
• Licensed Pharmacist (Preferred)
