Staff Product Engineer

You will work as a full-stack product engineer with a frontend focus, owning solutions from initial concept through production delivery.

• Build and ship customer-facing AI-powered product features across the full stack, including LLM-based workflows, retrieval systems, embeddings, agentic capabilities, and intuitive user interfaces.
• Take ownership of product development from problem discovery and solution design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Apply strong frontend expertise using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React while contributing effectively across backend systems and infrastructure.
• Design AI features with reliability in mind by implementing evaluations, monitoring, guardrails, and quality measurement frameworks.
• Ensure AI-powered experiences are trustworthy, responsive, accessible, and optimized for real customer needs.
• Stay closely connected with customers through feedback sessions, support escalations, and product usage insights to guide development decisions.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to define solutions, prioritize opportunities, and deliver measurable customer outcomes.
• Own production readiness by building automation, reliability practices, monitoring, alerting, and logging into solutions from the beginning.
• Use AI development tools as part of daily engineering workflows and contribute ideas to improve team productivity and processes.
• Measure the impact of delivered features through data, customer feedback, and business outcomes rather than completion alone.
• Participate in hiring activities by helping evaluate and attract future engineering talent.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a full-stack engineer with a frontend focus and demonstrated ability to independently deliver complete product experiences.
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React, along with strong frontend engineering practices and attention to user experience details.
• Experience building production-ready AI-powered features, including familiarity with LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, prompt/context engineering, and agentic workflows.
• Strong understanding of AI reliability principles, including evaluation strategies, verification methods, monitoring, and designing effective guardrails.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies as part of an engineering workflow.
• Ability to think beyond implementation by understanding customer problems, validating solutions, and measuring product impact.
• Strong ownership mindset with experience managing the full software development lifecycle, including reliability, automation, observability, and production operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Experience optimizing AI systems for performance, cost, safety, latency, or scalability is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation and observability tools, including testing frameworks, tracing systems, or quality measurement approaches, is a plus.
• Experience working on customer-facing software, productivity tools, developer tools, or enterprise applications is preferred.
