This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Startup Marketing based in United States.

This role is designed for a highly connected and proactive marketing professional who will help build relationships with emerging founders and startup communities.
You will support the growth of a startup-focused program by managing operations, organizing high-impact events, and creating meaningful engagement opportunities.
The position combines community building, event marketing, partnerships, and growth initiatives in a fast-paced technology environment.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen market presence and connect with the next generation of builders.

Accountabilities:

The Startup Marketing professional will serve as the operational backbone of a founder-focused growth program, managing day-to-day activities while creating valuable connections across the startup ecosystem.

  • Manage program operations, including application reviews, partner tracking, credit distribution, CRM organization, and workflow improvements.
  • Plan and execute founder-focused events, including guest sourcing, venue coordination, invitations, RSVPs, logistics, and event-day execution.
  • Develop event marketing materials such as invitations, landing pages, communication sequences, and follow-up campaigns.
  • Collaborate with developer-focused teams to create authentic programming and engagement strategies for technical audiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with founders, startup operators, accelerators, and venture ecosystem partners.
  • Track program performance through attendance, engagement, attribution, and conversion metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support initiatives that increase brand awareness and strengthen relationships within the startup community.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate brings experience in marketing, partnerships, community programs, or operations, combined with strong relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of startup ecosystems.

    • 4–6 years of experience in areas such as marketing, partnerships, sales, program management, operations, recruiting, or developer relations.
    • Strong familiarity with the startup ecosystem, particularly within the San Francisco technology community.
    • Ability to build authentic relationships and create meaningful connections with founders, investors, and operators.
    • Understanding of venture markets and the impact of AI and emerging technologies on startups.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, events, and priorities simultaneously.
    • High ownership mindset, proactive problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
    • Interest in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, and how technical teams evaluate and adopt new technologies.
    • Experience with event management, community initiatives, or founder-facing programs is a plus.
    • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Airtable, Clay, Apollo, or similar go-to-market platforms is preferred.
    • Based in San Francisco and available for occasional evening events.
