Storage Administrator

Bungie is searching for an experienced Storage Administrator. You will be administering the infrastructure for our systems and people making on our world class games. Bungie IT is a growing team whose day-to day duties and challenges are varied, from supporting creative staff with high end applications to maintaining server, network and a wide array of various storage infrastructure. Ideally, you have strong troubleshooting skills, a team-oriented attitude, exceptional customer service skills, and an interest in expanding your technical breadth. As we often tread the cutting edge on new technology adoption, adaptability and a strong desire to research, investigate, and roll out new technologies is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Involved in implementing, managing upgrades, and providing support for storage solutions including Storage Area Network, iSCSI storage and Network Attached Storage (CIFS and NFS), and storage replication across multiple platforms including public cloud
• Handle requests for new storage provisioning on existing systems
• Monitor performance of storage systems and when required determine and implement performance tuning recommendations to ensure applications are operating optimally
• Performs capacity management of the storage environment
• Provide hardware, software and OS support
• Analyze and debug storage performance issues
• Regularly create and update standard operating procedure documentation
• Install and update server and network storage equipment
• Collaborates with team to deploy and troubleshoot storage development hardware
• Participate in the maintenance of equipment inventory and related documentation
• Work with vendors to support, update and maintain owned systems

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Previous experience in a similar role including within an enterprise environment
• Ability to work in a multi-platform hardware environment
• Proficient with command line tools
• Must be self-motivated, team player, and able to immediately contribute to a fast paced, deadline intensive environment
• Must be able to learn quickly in a highly technical fast paced environment
• Excellent organizational, time management, project coordination and customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in a role involving direct customer interaction (internal and external customers)
• Experience in server disk array management and troubleshooting
