The Job

Unchained Labs is building the next cool life sciences tools company, and our Automated Workflow products fit directly into that mission.  We need a high-octane Strategic Account Manager to grow and sell our current and future products.  Our Workflow products enable dramatic gains in R&D productivity and innovation in drug development and material science organizations by providing intelligent laboratory automation and enterprise data management solutions.  We need people to roll up their sleeves, sweat, think outside the box, collaborate with our customers and create something special with us. 

Responsibilities


  • Sell the Big Kahuna, Junior and Big Tuna products and services in the assigned geography – South China
  • Develop an understanding of R&D pains and map to value of Unchained Labs solutions
  • Generate new sales leads and opportunities and create awareness for our products in the region
  • Conduct technical presentations, at times in collaboration with Field Automation Scientists
  • Develop collaborative relationships with senior managers, VP, and key opinion leaders at customer accounts
  • Keep CRM system (Salesforce) up to date
  • Prospect independently and qualify incoming leads from Marketing
  • Navigate orders through the customer purchasing process and provide accurate sales forecasts
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Maintain positive customer relations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field, graduate-level degree preferable
  • 5 year’s sales experience in the life sciences or chemicals industry with laboratory equipment or automation, experience with enterprise-level solution sales is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success and exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated track record of selling in complex purchasing environments with multiple decision makers
  • Experience selling both to direct end users, as well as via distributors and dealers
  • Extensive contacts in life sciences, chemical, research organizations in the assigned territory
  • Experience with MS Office applications and Salesforce databases
  • Open mindset and inherent intellectual curiosity
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Travel up to 30% overnight when required in China; ability to occasionally travel to the US for training
  • Location preferred – Guangzhou or Shenzhen, but other locations in South China will be considered
