Strategic Finance Associate

Position Overview
The Strategic Finance Associate will play a key role in providing financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and optimizing financial performance. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, possesses excellent analytical skills, and has a deep understanding of finance and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects on specific aspects of the business to assess the financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and execution of financial strategies to achieve the company's short-term and long-term objectives. Collaborate with management to drive strategic initiatives around growth and profitability.
- Data Interpretation: Interpret financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Present findings to senior management and department heads.
- Expense Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to financially oriented projects such as pricing strategy, headcount planning, investment decisions, fundraising, and M&A by collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business goals.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or similar roles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling using Excel. Knowledge of SQL, Looker, Tableau or other similar data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with US accounting principles is preferred.Β
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- A passion for the education industry and a strong commitment to our mission.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Role is remote, but candidates interested in a hybrid setup in our NYC office is a plus.
This role's annual base salary range is competitive, with the added advantage of equity options.
