About the Role
Fundamental to Galileo’s issuer processor business is our strong relationships with key strategic partners. As the Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will report to the Head of Partnerships to lead and continue to develop our daily relationships with our card network partners as well as a select portfolio of other strategic partnerships to ensure the successful execution of critical initiatives. You will be Galileo’s primary contact for the management of each of these ongoing relationships. To be successful in this role, you will build strong cross-functional relationships with all of the internal stakeholders that have touchpoints with the partners including operations, technology, product, marketing, client success, and finance to understand, track, and support all in-flight work between Galileo and the partners. You will represent Galileo externally to the partner teams and maintain a cohesive relationship with your counterparts.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for Galileo’s working relationship with strategic partners including the card networks
- Subject matter expert on partners’ strengths and weaknesses
- Strategize with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal partner operations, revenue, and growth initiatives
- Be the bridge between external partners and internal stakeholders to drive the successful execution of initiatives and projects
- Be the go-to resource for internal teams for partner issues and work to connect Galileo teams to the right support within the external team
- Collaborate with peers on the Partnership team including Bank Partnerships Lead and Product and Technology Partnerships Lead as neededÂ
- Lead partner management responsibilities including holding partners accountable for deliverables and support
- Attend and prepare for regular calls with counterparts in each partner organization
- Facilitate calls between Galileo and partner resources for specific initiatives
- Create and maintain a status report/tracker on all open initiatives between Galileo and each partner
- Be the advocate for the partner within Galileo and for Galileo within the partner organization
- Understand the Galileo brand, industry, verticals, positioning and technology and use this knowledge to facilitate both external and internal engagementÂ
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Previous experience with one or more major card network required
- Demonstrate an existing knowledge base of payment networks and card issuing
- Motivated, self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables at the same time
- Strong organizational and project management skills to manage and track projects across multiple work streams
- High energy and persistent personality with excellent relationship-building, interpersonal and consensus-building skills
- Self-motivated and timeline-oriented; comfortable driving projects independently and navigating ambiguity
- Experience in fast-paced, high-change environments
