This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Student Accounts Coordinator based in the United States.
This role plays a key part in supporting students through their financial journey in higher education, ensuring they understand their tuition obligations and available repayment options.
It combines student-facing advisory work with financial administration, helping learners navigate billing, loans, and reimbursement programs with clarity and confidence.
The position is highly service-oriented, requiring frequent one-on-one interactions, workshops, and proactive outreach to support informed financial decision-making.
It also involves managing tuition accounts, verifying ledger accuracy, and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper billing processes.
A strong emphasis is placed on financial literacy education, debt management guidance, and supporting students as they transition toward graduation.
The environment is fast-paced and detail-driven, requiring accuracy, empathy, and strong organizational skills.

Accountabilities:
- Provide one-on-one financial counseling sessions to students, supporting informed borrowing, debt management, and repayment planning.
- Deliver financial literacy workshops and educational sessions to improve student understanding of budgeting, loans, and financial planning.
- Manage and monitor student tuition accounts, ensuring accurate billing and coordination with internal billing services.
- Review and verify ledger balances for graduating students and support the development of appropriate post-graduation payment plans.
- Oversee billing and processing for tuition reimbursement programs, including employer-sponsored assistance and workforce funding programs.
- Conduct exit counseling for graduating students, including guidance on loan repayment, account resolution, and financial transitions.
- Proactively communicate account balances and payment obligations through phone, email, text, and in-person outreach.
- Escalate delinquent accounts as needed and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve outstanding balances efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in student services, financial counseling, billing, accounting support, or related administrative roles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with student information systems such as CampusVue is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail in financial data management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a student-focused, customer service-oriented approach.
