Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Systems Administrator I – Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities include:

  • Functions as Systems Administrator for Florida Atlantic University’s primary and remote campuses. This entails managing all aspects of servers and related security for servers on campus and cloud-based locations. 
  • Operating system management of infrastructure servers and corresponding application stack: Apache, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, Network Load Balancers, Storage Area Networks, etc.
  • Data center management: Installation and configuration of racks and ensuing power configuration. Installation of servers and appliances. Cable management. UPS/PDU load sizing.
  • End-user support: Checking and updating user-submitted tickets and ensuing communication.
  • Application support: Email security, Enterprise Content Management, Global certificate management, and system monitoring.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Enterprise Systems Group and Director of Infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

$75,000 per year.
