MetroStar is looking for a Systems Engineer to support a large enterprise environment by engineering and maintaining a VMware VDI and Microsoft Server based environment. Candidates must be able to exhibit strong communication, collaboration, as well as time and engineering skills. You're a great fit if:
- Experience with vSphere 6.5, 6.7, and 7.0, to include vCenter and ESXi troubleshooting
- Experience with VMware Horizon Suite, to include AppVolumes, vSAN, and Dynamic Environment Manager
You'll love our Systems Engineering position if: (This is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit)
- You have 5 years of system engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree
- You have experience with vSphere to include vCenter and ESXi troubleshooting
- You have experience with VMware Horizon Suite, to include AppVolumes, vSAN, and Dynamic Environment Manager
- You have experience evaluating, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting application services on Windows servers
- You have a current Top-Secret clearance
We'll REALLY love you if: (This is the bonus stuff that makes you stand out)
- VMware VCP Certification is a plus
- Experience with Storage Back-up tools such as CommVault
- SCOM (System Center Operations Manager)
- SharePoint
- Experience with Active Directory, Active Directory Federated Services, AAD Connect
- Analyze Office 365 service reports, auditing log, and third-party service reports
- Knowledge and experience troubleshooting these platforms: Active Directory, DNS, SharePoint, PowerShell, SMTP, SSL/TLS
What your day will look like:
- You’ll work with a large operational support team to support and engineer technical solutions
- Your primary focus area will be on our customer’s VMWare Infrastructure and Horizon VDI desktop solution across multiple environments
- You will report to customer site three days a week in Washington, DC
