This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent Acquisition Recruiter | Recruteur En Acquisition De Talents based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape talent strategies within a fast-paced and innovative technology-driven environment.
You will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for highly specialized technical and creative roles across AI, data, systems, and interactive entertainment disciplines.
As a strategic talent partner, you will collaborate closely with business leaders and HR teams to build strong pipelines and attract exceptional candidates.
The position combines hands-on recruiting expertise with market intelligence, sourcing innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
You will contribute to improving candidate experiences, employer branding initiatives, and scalable recruitment practices.
Working across Canadian and U.S. talent markets, you will help connect world-class professionals with impactful opportunities.

Accountabilities

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will own recruitment strategies and execution across a broad range of technical and game development functions while acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and candidate engagement to interviews, offers, and onboarding support.
  • Recruit for specialized roles across AI/Machine Learning, systems and data, game programming, art, design, animation, production, quality assurance, and related technology disciplines.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR teams to translate business needs into effective hiring strategies and talent pipelines.
  • Provide market insights on talent availability, compensation trends, competitive landscapes, and sourcing approaches across Canadian and U.S. markets.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies to attract highly skilled and difficult-to-reach candidates.
  • Evaluate both technical profiles and creative candidates through an understanding of engineering skills, portfolios, demos, and other discipline-specific indicators.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey by ensuring clear communication and meaningful engagement.
  • Support talent branding, community engagement, recruitment events, and initiatives that strengthen employer visibility.
  • Use recruitment analytics, funnel metrics, and performance insights to optimize hiring decisions and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment tools, workflows, and operational practices to support a scalable talent acquisition function.
  • Contribute as a collaborative team member by sharing best practices and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Operate effectively within a bilingual English/French recruitment environment aligned with Quebec market expectations.
  • Requirements

    The ideal candidate brings extensive recruitment experience, strong market knowledge, and the ability to manage complex hiring initiatives in dynamic environments. Required qualifications include:

    • 7+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with significant expertise in technical and/or game development hiring.
    • Proven experience recruiting across areas such as AI/ML, systems, data, software engineering, game programming, creative production, animation, and quality assurance.
    • Experience within gaming, interactive entertainment, technology, or related industries.
    • Strong understanding of Montreal and U.S. talent markets, including sourcing strategies, compensation considerations, and competitive hiring environments.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic recruitment plans with senior stakeholders.
    • Advanced sourcing skills with experience engaging specialized, high-demand talent.
    • Ability to use data, analytics, and market insights to influence recruitment strategies and outcomes.
    • Strong communication, consulting, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience contributing to broader talent acquisition projects, employer branding initiatives, or recruitment improvements.
    • Bilingual communication skills, with English required and French strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
    • Familiarity with recruitment technologies such as SmartRecruiters, CRM and sourcing platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work onsite in a Montreal office environment approximately one to two days per week.
    • Strong knowledge of the Montreal gaming and technology ecosystem, including studios, creative talent communities, and emerging technology hubs.
    • Passion for gaming, interactive entertainment, and emerging technologies.
    • Analytical mindset with comfort using recruiting metrics and performance data.
