Job Overview About the Firm: Our client is a well-established CPA firm serving a high-volume portfolio across industries. We deliver proactive, strategic tax solutions and exceptional service rooted in trust and long-term relationships. Role Overview: We are seeking an experiencedTax Accountantwith astrategic advisory mindsetwho can also roll up their sleeves during peak tax season. This role blends high-level client strategy with hands-on tax preparation when needed. While this role isprimarily on-site in San Antonio, we offer ahybrid optionfor candidates based inHouston, Austin, or Laredo, TX. Out-of-town candidates must be able to attend in-person meetings and work in the San Antonio officetwo weeks each month during peak season. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver advanced tax planning and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and other entities. • Analyze client financials to identify opportunities for tax savings and ensure compliance with tax laws. • Prepare and review complex returns (Forms 1120S, 1065, 1120, and 1040). • Act as a trusted year-round advisor to clients. • Step into hands-on tax prep during peak season to meet client needs. • Maintain current knowledge of tax regulations and industry best practices. Qualifications: • CPA licensestrongly preferredbut not required. • 5–7 years of public accounting experience with a strong background in tax strategy and preparation. • Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar) and MS Office Suite. • Strong communication skills and client relationship expertise. • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
