SUMMARY
Teaching Assistants ("TAs") play a key role in driving elements of Correlation One’s training programs. TAs work with Correlation One's instructors, operations team, & curriculum team to drive exceptional learning outcomes for the Fellows who participate in our programs ("Fellows" is how we refer to the students in our programs).
The ideal candidate will be an excellent educator with superior communication skills and a good understanding of providing a positive Fellow experience. This person is a quick learner, diligent with their work, and empathetic with a driving motivation of helping Fellows learn Salesforce during the program so they can use their new knowledge & skills in the real world.
TAs will be expected to support synchronous sessions as well as provide asynchronous support to Fellows to ensure their comprehension and learning. This is a fully remote role.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- Program Focus: Amazon Career Choice Salesforce Administrator Training Program
- Key Skills Required: Must be familiar with the Salesforce ecosystem and be Salesforce Administrator Certified
- Dates: June 27 - November 2, 2023 (Onboarding from June 5-12, 2023 asynchronously, June 13 synchronously). We will host one live onboarding session when we walk through the program elements, set you up on our systems, and ensure you are prepared to teach and support learners effectively before the program launches on June 27, 2023. We will provide training materials in advance of, during, and after these onboarding sessions, which will be important for you to ensure your understanding of this content and your responsibilities.
- Number of Class Weeks: 17 Class Weeks
- Breaks: No class on July 4th; class will be shifted to Wednesday, July 5th, to accommodate. Break weeks where no class will be held: July 10-16 (for Prime Day), September 4-10 (for Labour Day)
- Class Times: Â Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 - 4 PM ET/6 - 9 PM BST *Exception on Wednesday, July 5th to accommodate US Independence Day.Â
- Information about the Program:Â Salesforce Administrator Training Program is a FREE, 17-week training program for Amazon Associates through the Career Choice benefit. Career Choice is part of a major re-skilling initiative by Amazon to help frontline workers re-skill for in-demand jobs across various industries.Â
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with another TA to co-manage and support approximately 20-30 learners (“Fellows”):
- Answer questions and hold review sessions on key concepts related to the core curriculum
- Hold office hour meetings for groups or individuals
- Collaborate with Correlation One operations personnel to perform class duties well, stay on schedule, support a positive Fellow experience, and provide thoughtful feedback on the program to Correlation One.
- Attend certain live classes/lectures
- Participate in the Assistant Instructor onboarding.
- Review TA onboarding documentation and materials.
- Attend and participate in all of the onboarding training sessions
- Be communicative and responsive to Fellows, colleagues, and the Correlation One personnel. Treat Fellows, colleagues, and the Correlation One personnel respectfully and avoid defaming, embittered language or personalized attacks.
- Lecture Days
- Answer the questions and comments on the relevant Slack channels (Live Chat and the channel with your Fellows) during the lecture
- Provide updates/announcements to the Slack channel with your Fellows
- Guide Fellows through occasional live sessions
- Non-Lecture Days
- Participate in the weekly TA meeting with Correlation One
- Contribute to course design improvement through thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team
- Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week’s accomplishments, challenges, and feedback
- Review the materials for the next class so you are prepared to answer questions and, if applicable that week, lead live sessions
- Hold Office Hours and review sessions
- Periodically monitor the Slack channel with your Fellows to answer questions and support their learning.Â
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years formal professional experience with Salesforce
- Prior teaching or learning support experience strongly preferred, including in a mentor or supervisory role
- A desire to support students in upskilling their careers into data roles
- Empathy, flexibility, patience, passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content
- Salesforce Administrator Certified; additional certifications a plusÂ
This position is accessible for those with other professional responsibilities, including full-time jobs, provided you can commit to regular synchronous support for live class sessions. We require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for any planned absences from live sessions or periods when TAs are not available (i.e., scheduled vacations, other work commitments, etc.); we will communicate more specific expectations for this during the onboarding process.
COMPENSATIONÂ
$7049-$8250 base salary
This is your guaranteed compensation for services fully completed, to be paid in several installments by Correlation One. The installments will be paid in approximately equal amounts approximately every two weeks. The amounts will be paid in U.S. Dollars.Â
- Bonus Compensation:Â
- $2349-$2750
- The amount you receive is based on your performance, as determined by Correlation One. Performance includes, but is not limited to, (a) Satisfactory completion of the Job Responsibilities, (b) Satisfaction of the Fellows you directly manage, as determined through the survey feedback at the end of the Program and other sources of feedback, (c) Engagement with Correlation One and the Fellows through the platforms utilized during the Program.Â
- Additional Compensation: Correlation One usually offers additional earning opportunities for ad-hoc projects related to and unrelated to the program TAs participate in. These opportunities can include but are not limited to curriculum development, teaching lectures, grading assignments, and assisting with program admissions.
