About the team and role

The Business and Corporate Development team leads product partnerships, distribution, growth, business investments and strategic finance. We pay attention to emerging technologies and pursue new market opportunities in alignment with Mozilla's products and values.Mozilla is looking for an outstanding technical business leader to join us! The successful candidate has deep experience with partner relationships and is able to understand and communicate advanced engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators. This person will help the team grow demand for our popular products and services as well as introduce new ones. You are able to compellingly describe concepts of what "could be" as easily as you can communicate "what is." You are a good listener and quick study, working with various partners to uncover opportunities and refine options in pragmatic and efficient ways. You know how to work with internal and external partners to vet opportunities and help turn them into offerings that are loved by a global audience. You are analytical, highly curious, collaborative, and creative. You have experience with building significant, impactful partnership agreements. You understand how to support revenue generating activities and growth initiatives. You operate with a sense of urgency. You respect and seek to understand how real people interact with products that deliver tangible value.

What you’ll do:

• Represent, lead and drive on behalf of the partner and Mozilla’s principles, from a technical perspective
• Have a role in determining what Mozilla builds and with whom
• Help qualify and structure product, technology, content, and distribution partnerships
• Develop approaches to accelerate product adoption and support initiatives to scale through partners
• Lead technical discussions with leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
• Uncover opportunities for next-generation products and technologies and new adjacencies for existing ones
• Drive revenue-impacting projects from conceptualization, validation and feasibility testing to commercial launch
• Work with product and eng teams to assess opportunities and onboard new partners
• Support integrations with mobile, search, distribution, commerce and brand partners; managing expectations and co-designing regular business reviews
• Lead the technical workstream for complex-custom integration projects
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues that occur across our products and external partner systems
• Advocate for partner needs in order to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development
• Partner with BD, analytics, data science, data engineering and finance team to generate reports and provide guidance using existing tools and dashboards or writing some custom SQL, as needed
• Light quality assurance

Your Professional Background:

Experience:

• Multiple years working in consumer web, ecommerce, adtech and/or enterprise software bringing products/services to market
• Multiple years of experience in the mobile ecosystem
• Product introductions that included 3rd party partner offerings
• Experience with handling a variety of partner and channel types, including premier global tech and Fortune 1000 companies
• Strong examples working with partnership leads, product, and engineering teams, with proven ability to break down complex concepts to non-technical partners
• Extensive deal experience in product and platform partnerships. You have closely collaborated with product teams to lend insights into new product development

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, especially with engineers, product managers and designers
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Self-starter who is organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Deep understanding of the mobile, desktop and Internet ecosystems
• Early adopter of emerging consumer technologies
• Track record of originating and commercializing new concept/business models
• Management via influence without direct reporting line authority
• Expertise with SQL, web technologies, and API's (you’ve worked with developer APIs to create new offerings)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform in a fluid, fast-paced work environment
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related program) or equivalent work experience
