Technical Quality Assurance Tester (Contract, Part Time)

This is a part time contract position. The role will start ASAP and will run until mid-November. We anticipate 10 hours of work per week for this position.
Your impactÂ
The technical quality assurance tester will ensure that all technical instructions within the course content are clear, concise, and can be flawlessly executed by students. The technical quality assurance tester should proactively initiate conversations with C1 to ensure all aspects of the course are aligned with the requirements.
Technical QA steps:
- Initial Content Review: Evaluate the overall structure and content of technical instructions within the course, ensuring alignment with course objectives.
- Command Verification
- Test all commands in the provided virtual machines to ensure they run exactly as indicated. Programming languages include Linux terminal commands and a wide range of cybersecurity tools used in Windows and Linux.
- Identify any errors hindering execution or requiring additional commands to be run.
- Document discrepancies and propose corrections.
Student Environment Assessment
- Analyze the platforms provided to students, such as virtual machines.
- Recommend alterations to enhance the learning experience and ensure smooth execution of instructions.
Instruction Improvement:
- Collaborate with content developer to revise and refine technical instructions.
- Ensure that revised instructions are clear, concise, and error-free.
Final Review and Submission:
- Perform a final review of technical content and student environments.
- Submit the verified and revised content to the content developer for final approval, addressing any subsequent feedback or revisions as required.
Your expertiseÂ
- 2-3 years of experience with Technical Content Quality Assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 2-3 years cybersecurity experience preferred
Where you are
- This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.
Compensation
- This role will be compensated at $75/hr.
