Team: Support

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Representative QLD based in Australia.

This is a hands-on, field-based technical role focused on supporting and growing a well-established customer base within the automotive refinish sector. You will act as a key link between technical expertise and commercial performance, combining spray painting know-how with customer-facing responsibility. Working across distributors and end-users, you will deliver product demonstrations, training, and on-site technical support that directly impact product adoption and customer satisfaction. The role offers strong autonomy across your territory, with the opportunity to shape demand and strengthen long-term partnerships. You will also contribute to system trials, installations, and troubleshooting activities that ensure optimal product performance in real-world applications. Operating from a home-office base in Queensland, you will play a central role in expanding market presence while reinforcing brand loyalty and technical excellence.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for driving technical engagement and commercial growth across your assigned territory by combining hands-on expertise with customer-facing activities. This includes delivering demonstrations, supporting product adoption, and ensuring end-users receive the highest level of technical guidance.

  • Demonstrate existing and new products to distributors and end-users to support adoption and sales growth
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead system trials with target customers to validate product performance
  • Install and support paint systems and related equipment such as mixing machines and colour tools
  • Provide ongoing technical, application, and colour support to distributors and end-users
  • Promote product usage across existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities
  • Respond to and resolve technical application issues raised by customers or distributors
  • Deliver training sessions to new and existing users to ensure correct and efficient product application
  • Requirements:

This role requires a strong foundation in automotive spray painting combined with customer-facing experience in a technical or commercial environment. You will be confident working independently, managing your territory, and translating technical knowledge into practical solutions.

    • Trade qualification in vehicle spray painting with a minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience
    • Proven experience working with customers, prospects, or distributors in the automotive sector
    • Strong understanding of spray painting processes and application techniques
    • Comfortable using Windows and Microsoft Office tools in a professional environment
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
    • Strong organisational and time management abilities with a proactive working style
    • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the assigned territory
    • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
    • Benefits:

      • Home-office based role with territory autonomy across Queensland
      • Opportunity to work with innovative coating and automotive technologies
      • Field-based position with strong customer interaction and variety
      • Training and development support within a global technical organisation
      • Exposure to a wide customer base across distributors and end-users
      • Contribution to a sustainability-focused and innovation-driven industry leader
