Technical writer with 7 - 10 years of experience. Proficient understanding of Jenzabar’s products and user resources as well as the team’s processes, tools, and deliverables. Research technical writing trends and recommend enhancements to current deliverables and processes. Lead and assist with software releases, peer reviews, and new team member training. Responsible for developing end user documentation and troubleshooting issues related to help files, installers, and videos; updating standards and styles for team adoption; contributing JAM content; ensuring release milestones and deadlines are met; and mentoring team members. Proven willingness to collaborate with technical and functional teams required.
ESSENTIAL TASKS- Proficient understanding of Jenzabar’s products and user resources
- Proficient understanding of team’s resources, processes, and tools; recommend process improvements and other tools
- Attend team’s internal training sessions; lead one or more sessions
- Update team’s standards and styles for writing and formatting outlined in guides
- Research technical communication trends in content and delivery methodologies; present recommendations to team
- Develop user documentation:
- Includes online help, user guides, release highlights, and videos
- Create and assist with developing data visualizations
- Collaborate with product managers and UX designers; assist with developing and editing user interface elements (i.e., hints, modals, field labels, etc.)
- Participate in peer review processes to include submitting content and reviewing other team members’ content.
- Identify and amend issues related to help files, installers, and videos
- Lead and assist with coordinating software release deliverables (completing pub text, installation, and configuration guides, updating and editing announcements, etc.), and assist with release processes (compiling help, preparing guides, publishing help in cloud environment, uploading documentation to MyJenzabar, etc.)
- Contribute to content for JAM or other conferences
- Assist with designing and delivering training for new team members; mentor team members
- Consistently meet release milestones and deadlines
- Maintain positive and professional attitude; demonstrate willingness to collaborate with functional and technical teams
The pay range for this position is $61,000-$80,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
