Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Accela is looking for a Technology Consultant to join the Accela Managed Application Services (MAS) team.  Primary responsibilities are to provide Accela System Administration and System Enhancements for Accela SaaS Clients.  Supporting all aspects of Accela Land Management or Business Licensing for large / complex government entities. Experience maintaining existing Accela Civic Platform and enterprise applications is preferred. 


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

System Administration Activities

  • Ticketing intake/entry from named Customer Contacts
  • MAS Ticket monitoring and oversight
  • Accela Support team ticket routing and oversight for required support items
  • Creation of Accela platform user accounts
  • Disabling/deleting of Accela platform user accounts
  • Password Changes for Accela platform user accounts
  • Adding/modifying Accela platform user permissions and groups (limited to 2 per month)
  • Service pack testing support
  • Escalation for advanced troubleshooting needs of in-scope items
  • Proactive guidance on agency-led testing for major releases

System Enhancement Development Activities

  • Adding new workflows
  • Modifications of existing workflows
  • Business rule automation development and modifications
  • Fee calculation development and modifications
  • Urgent configuration issue resolution
  • Development and modification of reports
  • Advanced scripting and automation of existing configuration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ plus years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to effectively present to target audience
  • High aptitude for complex problem analysis / resolution
  • Detail-oriented; uses sound judgment; and is self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Very good organization and time management skills
  • Experience in the IT industry with business analysis, design, development, and testing
  • Experience in the IT industry with documentation and administration
  • Experience in the IT industry with implementation and supporting highly technical and complex information systems

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience implementing and supporting the Accela Civic Platform for Licensing and Case Management and Accela Citizen Access
  • Accela Bronze Certified Implementation professionals
  • Certified Scrum Developer
  • Certified JavaScript Developer
  • Experience with reporting (SSRS and Crystal Reports)
  • Experience with the following tools: Accela citizen access, Accela IVR, Accela wireless, Accela GIS, Accela data migration
  • Experience with the following languages: T-SQL, PL/SQL
  • Experience with Accela data migration using Accela Data migration tool
