Technology Director

This role sits at the intersection of technology leadership, client partnership, and hands-on product development, driving the delivery of high-impact digital experiences for globally recognized brands. You will guide technical strategy across multiple engagements while actively contributing to architecture, prototyping, and implementation work. Acting as both a trusted advisor and a builder, you will translate complex business and creative goals into scalable, elegant technical solutions. The position requires close collaboration with design, strategy, and engineering teams to ensure cohesive product vision and execution. You will also play a key role in shaping client relationships, influencing solution direction, and supporting new business opportunities. This is a highly visible leadership role in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment where craft, experimentation, and technical excellence are central.

In this role, you will lead technology strategy and execution across client engagements while remaining actively involved in hands-on development. You will ensure technical solutions are innovative, scalable, and aligned with both creative and business objectives.

• Lead end-to-end technology strategy and delivery across multiple client engagements
• Serve as a senior technical advisor to clients, translating business and creative requirements into actionable solutions
• Collaborate closely with design, strategy, and engineering teams to define and execute technical direction
• Contribute hands-on to prototyping, architecture design, and production-level implementation work
• Define and evolve scalable, high-performance technical architectures across modern digital platforms
• Support pre-sales activities including scoping, estimation, proposal development, and client presentations
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies to enhance innovation and future-proof solutions
• Represent the technology function in workshops, pitches, and executive-level project discussions
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing
• Partner with leadership and business development teams to identify and shape new opportunities

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise combined with strong leadership, client-facing experience, and a builder mindset. You are equally comfortable shaping strategy and writing code or prototypes.

• 10+ years of experience in technology roles within digital product, consulting, or creative agency environments
• Proven experience leading technical strategy and delivery across multiple client or product engagements
• Strong background in pre-sales activities including scoping, estimation, and proposal development
• Demonstrated ability to architect modern web, application, or platform solutions
• Broad technical fluency across cloud, APIs, front-end frameworks, and data systems
• Deep hands-on expertise in either front-end or back-end engineering
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical, business, and creative perspectives
• Experience collaborating closely with design, strategy, and engineering teams
• Strong appreciation for product quality, user experience, and design craft
• Curiosity for emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and intelligent systems
