Job Description

Team: Business Development

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Territory Director - Personal Lines (Partner Management / National Accounts) in United States.

This senior individual contributor role sits at the intersection of strategic partner management, personal lines distribution, and data-driven sales execution within the property and casualty insurance industry. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth across assigned national accounts and broker networks while strengthening long-term distribution partnerships. Acting as a key connector between field operations, regional leadership, and national partners, you will ensure consistent activation strategies across territories. The role combines analytical rigor, commercial strategy, and relationship management in a highly collaborative, performance-driven environment. Operating remotely with significant national travel, you will engage directly with major distribution partners to influence business outcomes. This position is ideal for a seasoned insurance professional who thrives in complex, matrixed organizations and enjoys shaping growth strategy at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the execution of personal lines growth strategies across assigned national accounts and broker partnerships, ensuring alignment with broader commercial objectives.
  • Manage and influence territory performance through direct and indirect coordination with territory managers, focusing on profitability, agency management, and portfolio optimization.
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify market trends, competitor positioning, and distribution opportunities, translating insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Strengthen and expand relationships with key distribution partners, driving engagement, activation, and long-term collaboration.
  • Partner with internal teams including product, marketing, and regional leadership to align strategies and execute shared business goals.
  • Support development of territory teams by setting performance expectations, coaching sales effectiveness, and enhancing commercial capabilities.
  • Drive adoption of internal tools and systems to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for assigned geographies by identifying growth opportunities and addressing performance gaps.
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or distribution leadership, preferably within property and casualty insurance or financial services.
    • Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance and familiarity with independent agency distribution channels is highly preferred.
    • Proven experience managing complex partner ecosystems, national accounts, or multi-territory commercial relationships.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, market trends, and performance metrics to guide strategic decisions.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive-level stakeholder engagement experience.
    • Strong leadership mindset with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams indirectly or directly.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Ability to operate in a remote environment with extensive national travel (approximately 50%).
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary range aligned with experience and geographic location ($136,000 – $242,000 USD).
      • Performance-based incentives and sales compensation opportunities.
      • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
      • Retirement benefits including 401(k) with company match and pension plan.
      • Generous paid time off including vacation, holidays, and additional wellness days.
      • Remote-first flexibility with nationwide work-from-home eligibility.
      • Professional development and leadership growth opportunities.
      • Inclusive workplace culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
