As part of the float team RN will float to all progressive care units depending on the needs. This includes Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular and Burn Center. Patient care is generally 1 to 3 or max 1:4. Nurses may also float to acute care units as needed which would involve 1 to 5 ratios.
