As a Trucking Procurement Associate, you will play a vital role in identifying, sourcing and developing strong partnerships with trucking service providers. Additionally, you will work in conjunction with Operations, Sales and our VP of Supply to handle all procurement and compliance matters, contract management, and ongoing carrier relationship activities.

Requirements:

• Unmatched organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently
• Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
• Possess strong analytical skills and a data based approach to problem solving
• 2-5 years of experience in logistics transportation, operations or Ocean/Drayage/Freight Forwarding roles is nice to have
• Experience building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with vendors
• Analytical skills and metric / data based approach to solving problems
• Strong analytical background and knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, etc)
• Strategic vision and ground floor execution
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage regional trucking strategies including: KPI’s, scorecards and monitoring system for carrier performance
• Collaborate with Product team to define features and enhancements within our cloud based platform
• Own pricing strategy and drive net revenue within your local markets
• Establish regular market updates as our friendly neighborhood trucking expert
• Ensure adequate policies, processes and systems are in place to maintain compliance

Benefits & Compensation:

• Salary for this position is $60,000 - $75,000, depending on experience/qualifications
