The value of this position

Underwriting Associates will work collaboratively with our Underwriters to ensure the accurate processing of new business applications, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and non-renewals. At Embroker we underwrite many kinds of business with a focus on Management Liability, Cyber, Crime, Fiduciary, D&O, E&O, EPL, LPL, and others. 

What you will own in this role

• Review and Assess insurance applications.
• Work collaboratively with Underwriters, Insurance Product Team, Customer Success Team, and other teams at Embroker.
• Assist underwriters with quote, binder, and policy issuance workflows that fall within designated authority.
• Monitor various reports for consistency.
• Classify, code, rate new business, renewals and endorsements based on underwriting rules and rate manuals.
• Assist underwriting team in processing of pre-bind and midterm endorsements as needed. 

What experience we think is the right fit 

• 4-year degree preferred.
• Ideally 6+ months of underwriting or insurance experience, with a preference for experience in Management Liability underwriting. 
• Team-player and collaborative.
• Self-starter who thinks critically and adapts quickly. 
• Strong organization, verbal, written, and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Experience with Salesforce, G-Suite, Zoom and Slack is a plus.
