RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Ensure excellent performance of UX researchers on all projectsÂ
Train and mentor, the UXR team collectively and individually according to the researchers’ experience and skill levelÂ
Ensure professional growth and skill in key UXR methods in all UXRs on the teamÂ
Ensure excellent performance of business analysts (BA) on the teamÂ
Train BAs on research operations activities such as note taking and on data collection activities such as interviewsÂ
Evaluate team members on an annual basis or at the conclusion of internship stages as the situation dictates using Radiant procedures and evaluation formatsÂ
Engage and manage stakeholders employed by or associated with Radiant’s clients as neededÂ
Plan and execute research programs as neededÂ
Plan and execute research projects as needed, includingÂ
Discovery research to uncover new product opportunitiesÂ
Exploratory research to understand if a product idea or reiteration will fit target users’ needsÂ
Evaluative research to understand how well a prototype or mature product meets users’ needsÂ
Lead kickoffs, stakeholder touch base meetings, and sharing of findings and recommendations with stakeholders and end users for UXR initiativesÂ
Assist other UXRs on primary data collection and analysis activities as needed
Mentor other UXRs in the planning and execution of research projects and activitiesÂ
Assist UX director and UX manager with business development presentations and other activities as needed through primary or secondary researchÂ
Requirements/Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant research experience in some combination of UXR, market research, program evaluation, applied social science research (e.g., anthropology, sociology, psychology, HCI)Â
Minimum 3 years specifically in UXR
Strong foundation in qualitative methods such as semi-structured user interviews, contextual inquiry, cards sorting, etc.Â
Ability to moderate and train others to moderate in-person data collection and virtual sessions using tools such as Zoom, Blue jeans, etc.Â
Solid grasp of quantitative methods such as surveys and time on taskÂ
Ability to interpret quantitative findings and their implications with a minimum of explanation from data scientist or web
