Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and other cross-functional team members to facilitate research initiatives and drive product development
- Attend all relevant team meetings and serve as an advocate for our users
- Create research plans and submit them for team review
- Recruit and expand a diverse database of teachers, students, and administrators for participation in research
- Conduct mixed methods research with educators and students, including user interviews, surveys, prototyping sessions, and observations
- Inspire change by synthesizing results from qualitative and quantitative sources into impactful presentations to stakeholders
- Contribute to department wide insight share outs in collaboration with the Research & Measurement team
- Mentor junior members of the research team
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience conducting user, market, and/or competitor research
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of various quantitative and qualitative methods such as usability testing, prototyping, discovery, data analysis, task analysis, focus groups, field research, interviewing and surveying
- Willing to travel a few times per year to US schools for field studies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives
- Customer relationship management experience
- Interest in the education or edtech field
- Degree or prior experience in education, HCI, technology, design, user research, curriculum content development
