Job Description

 Ibotta is looking for a UX Research Manager to join our Product Design team. Product Design at Ibotta works cross-functionally to deliver exceptional experiences that help millions of shoppers save time and money. You will be the champion of your team as you help empower them for success and develop them as employees and individuals. You will establish human-centered practices and maintain our high bar for research quality as we continue to invest in and grow, both our consumer and business-facing product lines.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office, (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, coach, develop, and motivate a team of talented UX researchers ensuring the team provides insights and actionable recommendations to help drive a user-centered product strategy

  • Create an innovative, inclusive team culture that fosters empowerment, growth, and collaboration

  • Define and execute research plans for both generative (e.g., in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry) and evaluative (e.g., surveys, usability testing) research

  • Deliver a variety of research deliverables informed by qualitative and qualitative data (including personas, journey maps, custom frameworks, survey results)

  • Socialize research findings and best practices at all levels of the organization, including with senior leadership

  • Partner with other UX & Product leaders to shape a collaborative, human-centered, and research-based approach to solving problems for our users

  • Enable high-quality, timely execution in a fast-paced, iterative, fluid environment

What we are looking for: 

  • 5-7+ years experience in UX research, market research, or related analytic field, including 2+ years managing a team

  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field

  • Technical skills: G Suite, PowerPoint & Excel, Usability testing and surveys, Contextual Inquiry, IDIs, Service Blueprinting, Stakeholder Interviews, Diary Studies

  • Demonstrable understanding of UX principles, both design and research

  • Comfort managing multiple projects, including logistics of participant recruiting, with great attention to detail

  • Proven experience in influencing design and product teams

  • Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to influence thinking and perspective cross-functionally

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.

  • Base compensation range: $115,000-$140,000. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component and equity in addition to base salary.
