This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UXDI Instructor Lead based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of user experience designers through an immersive, hands-on learning environment.
You will guide aspiring designers through the complete UX design process, helping them build practical skills, confidence, and professional portfolios.
As a lead instructor, you will create an engaging classroom experience while sharing your industry expertise and design knowledge.
You will collaborate with an instructional team to deliver high-quality education and provide meaningful mentorship.
The position combines teaching, leadership, and user experience expertise in a dynamic professional development setting.
You will make a direct impact by helping learners transition into successful careers in digital design.

Accountabilities:

The UXDI Instructor Lead is responsible for delivering an engaging and transformative educational experience while supporting students throughout their journey toward becoming job-ready UX professionals. The role combines instructional leadership, curriculum delivery, mentorship, and classroom management.

  • Lead immersive UX design instruction sessions Monday through Friday, approximately 8 hours per day, throughout the full program duration.
  • Facilitate an energetic, collaborative, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and continuous learning.
  • Guide students through the UX design process, from research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final project development.
  • Prepare lessons, activities, and learning materials while leveraging existing curriculum resources and adapting content to student needs.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students on their progress, projects, and skill development.
  • Collaborate with co-instructors, teaching assistants, and internal teams to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience.
  • Mentor students as they develop portfolio projects designed to demonstrate their capabilities to potential employers.
  • Encourage students to overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop the problem-solving mindset required for success in UX careers.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate brings strong UX design experience, a passion for education, and the ability to inspire and guide learners through a structured professional development program.

    • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working in user experience design, with recent hands-on industry experience preferred.
    • Practical UX experience within the last five years, excluding teaching experience.
    • Strong knowledge of UX methodologies and tools, including areas such as user research, personas, usability testing, UX analysis, information architecture, interface design, wireframing, prototyping, analytics, optimization, mobile UX, and HTML/CSS.
    • Experience using design tools such as Figma and familiarity with modern UX workflows.
    • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching approaches to different learning styles.
    • Strong leadership, organization, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
    • Passion for mentoring others and helping individuals develop professional skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (10+ years of applicable experience may be considered in place of a degree).
    • Strong communication, reasoning, and technical skills that support effective instruction.
