JOB TITLE: UX/UI Design Lead

ROLE SUMMARY:
As the UX/UI Design Lead, your position is one of significant impact, responsibility, and collaboration as it relates to establishing a creative vision for our suite of member and client-facing products. You will lead a growing team of UX/UI Designers across the product life cycle, from ideation to validation to delivery. You will also have the autonomy to define and shape our visual and interactive design principles across our enterprise and consumer solutions. You and your team will work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure our products solve real customer problems and are useful, usable, and used.

You must have strong problem-solving skills and be self-directed in your work. As the UX/UI Design Lead, you will act as a champion for the end user experience while balancing the requirements of success for Healthmine and our health plan Clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design Strategy: Translate our product vision and strategy into the design language we use to create the best outcomes for our users. Drive product KPIs through your team’s design work.
- Design Validation: Develop designs that are based on research, insights, user feedback, and other design-thinking methods that help remove bias and uncover what drives desired customer and business outcomes.
- Design Leadership: Support, mentor, and coach the team of UX/UI Designers working across our two products. Define processes and standards for the team, and shepherd the growth of the team to meet product and business demand.
- Design Quality and Execution: Demonstrate high-quality design practices across all aspects of UX: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, and visual design. Support Product Managers and Engineers on a specific initiative with your skills.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 5+ years web and mobile (iOS and Android) product UX experience, with experience in both consumer and enterprise products/personas and engagement strategies.
- 3+ years interfacing with both Product Management and Engineering Teams.
- 3+ years direct leadership of UX/UI design teams
- Portfolio of work showcasing examples of product visual and interactive design
- Experience working with modern design-oriented tooling such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Abstract, Invision, or Sketch.
- Experience user testing and iterating on designs based on user feedback.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to visualize concepts and ideas with minimal input.
- User-empathic and data-driven approach to UX design on both web and mobile platforms.
- Ability to account for accessibility needs and standards in all designs.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Skilled at executing independently and collaboratively with team within a remote environment
- Driven to learn, grow your skillset, and implement feedback
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus
