Visual Designer

We're building a brand that shakes up the status quo in our industry and are looking to add a visual designer to our arsenal of creative talent. We have a shared passion for helping residential and commercial contractors take their business to the next level. How you'll create impact:
As a visual designer, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the visual identity of a growing brand that is radically re-architecting the way the trades do business. We're after a designer with a strong focus in brand design, who can collaborate with our marketing and content teams to produce engaging content across multiple channels.
What you'll do:

• This role will report into the Art Director
• Work closely with AD on design elements, from the initial conception to final delivery
• Collaborate across the organization to drive up standards of digital creativity
• Participate in creative lookbacks with cross functional partners
• Proactively provide ideas to elevate the parent brand experience

What you'll bring:

• Your layout skills are impeccable, but it's your design thinking and storytelling that gets people talking
• You understand how to bring storytelling to life through design
• For some projects, you set the style; for others, you help safeguard predefined styles. But you'll always be responsible for elevating the brand and making design decisions that are both awesome and in line with our partner's goals
• You can translate creative briefs into design direction
• You spot opportunities to go above and beyond the brief and push what's possible
• You're a collaborator who knows collaboration is the key to improving the work conceptually, aesthetically and functionally.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy working with other creatives and non-creatives alike.
• You have experience in every stage of the design process, from conceptualizing to designing layouts to quality assurance and production.
• You have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of design such as typography, grid system, visual hierarchy, storytelling and working within design systems.
• You're a technically skilled designer with 5+ years of experience crafting designs, both digital and print.
