Misfits Market is a mission-driven company creating the affordable online grocery store of the future. By tackling inefficiencies in the food system, we’ve created a new supply chain that brings value to farmers and food makers, fights food waste, and saves our customers an average of $25.17 per order. Since 2018, our passionate and motivated team of problem solvers has built a full online grocery marketplace and rescued more than 228 million pounds of food. With each new zip code we serve (we’re up to 38,000 now!), we’re one step closer to our goal of eliminating food deserts in America by 2025.

Who You Are

You are passionate, friendly, creative, resourceful, and a natural storyteller who can move easily between mediums. Conceptual thinking, strong typography, and illustration skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, and able to think and execute creatively, with a high level of fidelity. 

What you’ll be doing

• Concept and execute social content, marketing emails, printed materials, and acquisition assets.
• Design and support internal communication materials. 
• Collaborate with product designers to develop brand elements for the website and app.
• Assist in photo shoots and product styling. 
• Retouching of brand photography.

• BFA in design, photography, or fine arts
• 3-5 years experience at an agency or design-centric consumer brand
• Expert knowledge of typography and grid systems
• Experience designing for social and online branding
• Good understanding of the constraints and capabilities of web technologies
• Online portfolio that features a strong mix of branding, typographic, & self-initiated work
• Strong Adobe & Figma skills
• Strong photo-retouching skills
• Strong Illustration skills
• Nice to have: experience with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics

• Salary: $70k-$80k
