We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will:

• Leads UX at Berkadia in the spirit of Agile
• Defines and executes Berkadia’s UX strategy
• Team leader & manager: Oversees talent acquisition and development of all UX and UI professionals; Mentors and coaches the UX team
• Aligns product design and user experience methodologies with Berkadia’s Agile methodology of delivering quality software
• Facilitates continuous collaboration of designers and UX among product managers and engineers from discovery to delivery 
• Leads research into the latest design and UX techniques and methods and facilitates spread of discoveries within the UX team and across the enterprise. Lead UX workshops.
• Embeds user experience and product design methods and outputs into the software development 
• Creates connecting points and forges relationships between the design team, product, engineering, and the business
• Influences product’s roadmap based on user needs and UX/UI directives
• Other duties as assigned.

We Stand for Excellence, so to achieve success in this role you should have:

• At least 10 years Product Design Experience with Increasing Responsibility
• At least 2 years in the role of VP, Product Design
• Is passionate about building and enhancing teams
• Treats employee development as a critical responsibility
• Experience in team building, mentoring and developing people
• Instills trust with everyone
• Does not rely on hierarchy to drive change
• Is intellectually curious about improving the UX discipline
• Is an expert in both UX and UI
• Able to lead in a matrix / cross-functional organization
• Specific experience using research and design methodologies that supports solving complex interaction and visual design problems, including commonly used research, discovery, design, prototyping and user testing best practices
