Position Overview
The Vice President of Technical Operations will lead the technical operations team, manage the company’s infrastructure, mature architectures, processes, and protocols and provide leadership over the technical design and implementation of large, complex projects. This critical leader plays a vital role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of PerfectServe’s technical infrastructure and 24x7 technical operations.Â
Main responsibilities
- Â Lead the technical operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management (maximizing the output of the team)
- Mature the respective architectures, processes, and protocols to maintain 99.9% uptime in the company’s cloud and colo infrastructure environments supporting multiple product lines
- Manage the company’s infrastructure, including data centers, networks, servers, storage systems, telephony, and AWS environments
-  Oversee the company’s 24x7 technical operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning
- Partner with services and other technical leaders to troubleshoot and resolve escalated technology and infrastructure issues
- Provide leadership over the technical design and implementation of large, complex projects
- Partner with the VP of Engineering to ensure platform stability
- Ensure standards and practices meet federal and state privacy and security regulations and requirements
- Establish processes and solutions for data protection and quality assurance
- Maintain industry standard compliance and regulatory certifications
- Develop, implement and manage IT strategies and internal IT help desk that support the company’s growth
- Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers
- Create, track, and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.Â

Qualifications
Must-have, critical qualifications
- 10+ years of technology operations leadership experience, supporting mission-critical applications that require 24/7 uptime and availability
- Experience operating public cloud SaaS and data center environments
- Experience leading security initiatives to safeguard highly sensitive data stores
- Experience migrating complex environments from colo data centers to the cloud
- Ability to travel internationally
- Proven track record of execution

- Healthcare SaaS experience
- Experience leading a geographically dispersed team with diverse backgrounds
- Experience leading in a PE-backed company
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
