imposed by state andor local law your role may include some or all of the functions listed below <p> <ul><li>Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation and analysis of a patients need for pedorthotic services recommend treatment options to physicians when necessary<li> <li>Examine and evaluate patients needs in relation to disease and functional loss<li> <li>Formulate design of pedorthotic devices<li> <li>Select materials makes cast measurements model modifications and layouts taking into account new techniques and materials<li> <li>Perform fitting including static and dynamic alignments<li> <li>Evaluate pedorthotic device and any collateral prosthetic or orthotic devices on patient adjust to assure fit function medical efficacy and quality of work<li> <li>Instruct patient in the use of pedorthotic orthotic or prosthetic devices utilized in fulfilling the patients needs<li> <li>Identify and reconcile issuesproblems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided<li> <li>Provide followup with patients and physicians<li> <li>Provide inservice training to physicians and allied health care professionals<li> <li>Utilize effective materials management board certification in Pedorthics from the American Board for Certification ABC or the Board of Certification BOC or <li> <li>An equivalent combination of education and experience to meet board
