Familiarity with RF concepts and RF design considerations Expertise in RF front end design and integration of RF subsystems Ability to generate specifications and perform system design and analysis Expertise in programming test equipment using languages like C++ and LabVIEW Ability to perform bench-level analog/power bring-up and troubleshooting using analog and digital test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and vector signal generators Hands-on prototyping and debug experience testing complex RF subsystems Ideal Qualifications: Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes Experience with FPGA development and firmware development Experience using HFSS, CST, ADS, Clarity, or similar RF simulation tools Experience designing, manufacturing, and testing space flight hardware Familiarity with antenna design Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $175,000.00 The base salary offered to a successful candidate will be determined on a case-by-case basis and influenced by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and scope of the position. Your Mission on the Team: Radio transceiver analog front end design Develop antenna, receiver, exciter, and transmitter subsystems Develop a complex electronic control system to control digital, analog, and RF signals Design and simulate discrete RF electronic circuits; select components; perform schematic design; layout and prototype PCBs; assemble, debug, and bench/field test prototypes Perform performance and cost tradeoff analysis; test/evaluate new components & technologies Contribute to all phases of development life cycle (requirements, systems and circuit design, integration of RF and wireless circuits and systems, testing, and manufacturing activities) Qualifications: Master’s degree, preferably a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field Proficiency using SPICE or Microwave Office for analog circuit design and simulation Schematic capture and PCB layout using EDA tools from Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, etc. This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Long Beach, CA headquarters.
