<p>Position Summary <p> <p>PSG Cincinnatis Mechanical Engineer will be part of the Engineering Team based in Cincinnati responsible for the development of assigned New Product Development projects This role maintains and delivers high quality innovative and market leading mechanical designs of chemical dispensers and similar products that are cost effective easy to manufacture and marketable As part of a Project Team the engineer will be expected to be a positive influence and occasionally take ownership for managing the project from idea through to production in a predictable manner on time on budget and within scope constraints <p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities <p> <ul><li>Demonstrated ability to plan and use technical tasks to solve engineering problems using strong analytical and experimental skills<li> <li>Experience designing products from idea to production for mechanical and electromechanical products including<li> <ul><ul><li>Design of static and dynamicloaded injectionmolded components using a variety of materials and Design for Manufacturing DFM techniques<li> <li>New designs based on Product Specifications<li> <li>Investigate opportunities and implement Productivity amp Cost saving projects<li> <li>Create modify andor maintain complex design files 3D amp 2D using CAD to 3D model analyze and document the product design preferably using Solidworks<li> <li>Create test plans and work in a lab environment to prove out concepts prototypes and the Verification and Validation of the product design<li> <li>Work closely with other disciplines and team members<li> <ul><ul><li>Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and a focus on a robust timely and costeffective delivery<li> <li>Validate any solution using proven Engineering Techniques eg FEA GDampT Tolerance Analysis<li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate technical information both orally and in writing to peers<li> <ul><p>QualificationsRequirements <p> <ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar with degree<li> <li>5+ years of experience in a role responsible for mechanical engineering design<li> <li>Knowledge of plastic materials fluid mechanics and other mechanical engineering concepts<li> <li>Familiarity with CAD preferably SolidWorks static and dynamic FEA generation of models amp drawings<li> <li>Problem solving and critical thinking skills<li> <li>Ability to effectively take direction and work within a crossfunctional team<li>
