Summary
About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Aquatics Center on F. E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY.
This position is considered Flexible. The position is guaranteed 0.00 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.
The starting wage for this position is $15.00 per hour.
Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons.
Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed.
Uses cash register for collection of fees in accordance with cash handling procedures.
May perform other related or incidental duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming area to include: cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, pool decks, beach areas, sunbathing areas, etc.

Conditions of employment
This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, including a NACI Tier 1 background investigation and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
This is an entry level position and a current completed lifeguard certification is the only qualification required for this position, provided along with a resume.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Direct deposit is required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
A probationary period may be required.
Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
