Associate Director, Solutions Architect

Job Summary

Alcon is looking for an Associate Director, Solutions Architect to oversee the definition of the enterprise platform and protocols that should be adopted and supported by the Unity AVS (Alcon Vision Suite) endpoint portfolio of products.

This person will lead Alcon enterprise customer and ophthalmology market integration requirements, define the architectures to be adopted or drive the development of new platform solutions to meet the integration requirements.

Backed up by strong technical knowledge, this person will create training and education strategy and act as a high-level escalation resource for all Alcon products interconnectivity needs, for both internal and customer facing teams and drive process adjustments, to ensure alignment between Alcon's global guidelines and regional requirements, collaborating with multiple R&D, Operations and service teams.

Responsibilities

1. Consolidate and track product existing interconnectivity and interface capabilities

2. Capture interface requirements from user needs, service needs, R&D needs and customer facing workflow synthesis, 3rd party solution vendors and market best practices

3. Capture Alcon product interface requirements for adoption by Project teams

4. Collaborate with Project teams and the Digital Service Operations in the management of Alcon enterprise interface solutions

5. Support and provide guidance to product teams when implementing required interfaces.

6. Collaborate with project teams on interface and implementation documentation in conformance with applicable quality systems

7. Collaborate with project teams on the interface implementation, validation and approval process, including infrastructure

8. Interact with healthcare standardization organizations to lead development and definition of new standards

9. Support operations and services teams on integration escalations

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs;
• PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience
• 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
• Work hours: Standard
• Travel Requirements: 0-5% if office-based, 20-25% if remote
