Carpenter Helper

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This role is essential in assisting skilled carpenters with various tasks on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and a passion for the construction industry. Duties • Assist carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. • Support concrete forming tasks, including preparing and pouring concrete for foundations and structures. • Participate in drywall installation and restoration projects, ensuring quality finishes. • Help with door hanging and installation, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. • Utilize hand tools effectively for various carpentry tasks, maintaining safety protocols at all times. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards. • Learn construction estimating techniques to assist in project planning and resource allocation. Requirements • Basic knowledge of frame carpentry techniques is preferred. • Familiarity with construction painting methods is a plus. • Experience or willingness to learn about concrete forming processes. • Ability to work with hand tools safely and effectively. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Good physical stamina, as the role involves lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions. • A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
