Summary
As a Controller for two business units, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations for ALIGN Precision’s two Arizona locations (Chandler and Tempe). This includes maintaining financial controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's objectives. You will have two direct reports and collaborate closely with the corporate finance team, local management, and various departments to drive financial efficiency and transparency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Financial Oversight:
· Supervise and manage the day-to-day financial operations at the business units including the activities of direct reports.
· Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
· Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports.
2. Compliance and Risk Management:
· Ensure compliance with local and regional financial regulations and reporting requirements.
· Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
· Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for both business units.
· Provide insightful analysis of variances and trends to support decision-making.
4. Financial Planning and Analysis:
· Partner with business units to develop and analyze key financial metrics.
· Prepare financial models and scenarios to support strategic initiatives.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
· Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals.
· Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team.
6. Communication and Collaboration:
· Communicate financial results and insights to local management and corporate leadership.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial initiatives and process improvements.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
· Proven experience in financial leadership roles.
· Several years of experience in manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in financial software, MS Office, and ERP systems.
· Leadership and team management experience
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have 5 years of related work experience
Language Skills
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
• Microsoft Suite knowledge and abilities
• Proficiency in spreadsheet packages (Excel).
Physical Demands
· While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to walk, stand, sit, talk and hear is frequently required. The ability to operate a computer is required. Lifting up to 20 pounds is occasionally required
Work Environment
· Work is typically performed in an office environment, where ambient temperatures, lighting and typical office equipment are found. Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary and personal protective equipment is required.
