Summary High end custom framing company looking for an experienced and dedicated Part-Time Custom Frame Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in framing, a passion for craftsmanship, and a commitment to preserving the integrity of artwork. **Key Responsibilities:** • Frame fitting: Expertise in fitting artwork into custom frames, ensuring precision and quality. • Art preservation: Strong knowledge of art preservation techniques, including the use of archival materials and methods. • Archival hinges: Understanding and application of various archival hinges for high-value artworks. • Artwork handling: Safe handling and fitting of artwork with utmost care. • Mat cutting: Experience in cutting 4, 8, and 12-ply mats to the highest standards. • Plexi and glass cutting • Mounting processes: Proficiency in various mounting methods and materials, including stitch-down techniques for jerseys, scarves, and textiles. • Canvas stretching: Expertise in stretching canvases and needlework to ensure a flawless fit. • Acrylic boxes & shadow boxes: Experience in fitting acrylic boxes, creating shadow boxes, and making custom spacers. • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and find creative solutions for framing challenges. • Collaboration: Assistance with other departments as required, with training provided as necessary. **Requirements:** • At least 3-5 years of prior experience in custom framing or a related field. • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs comfortably. • Passion for working to the highest industry standards. • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn and grow. • Strong team player and excellent communicator.
