Job Description
- Pre, during, and post-implementation support to the Sales team.
- Engage with customer-side experts prior to and during implementation.
- Engage with third-party technology providers as needed.
- Work closely with the customer to define solution success criteria.
- Collect deployment metrics and feedback to validate beta product field trials, both at the wellsite and in the office.
- Work with stakeholder groups to coordinate trial resourcing and deployments.
- Delivery of the technical solutions, including hands-on configuration and deployment of the technical components of the solutions.
- Provide regular project progress updates to management
Skills:
- Excellent presentation and technical communication skills for customer-facing presentations of technologies and solutions offered by NOV.
- Project managements skills, used in the coordination and execution of deployments.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and bash command line tools.
- Familiarity with the Windows operating system and PowerShell command line tools.
- Familiarity with docker container configuration and use.
- Ability to query REST APIs using standard tools such as Postman.
- Systems engineering thinking covering all aspects of hardware, networking, and software.
- Ability to provision, configure and deploy a field system to support testing lab environment and real-world wellsite environments.
- Working knowledge of the Python programming language used in engineering models is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of mainstream drilling and IT-related technologies in use by customers is a must, including but not limited to oilfield drilling and completions modeling, planning and monitoring systems, IT infrastructure, and databases.
- Previous experience in the use and implementation of NOV instrumentation and data management products is a plus.
Critical Outputs:
- Effective coordination with the Sales, Product Line and Software Engineering departments for the deployment of solutions.
- Successful customer acceptance of the solution implementation.
Qualifications
- 4+ years' experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, namely mudlogging, MWD, directional drilling or drilling engineering
- An excellent understanding of drilling-related data
- Experience using real-time data systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Advanced communication skills
- Advanced troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
