DevSecOps Engineer

Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES*

A lead role in areas of Vulnerability Scanning, Certificate Management, Password Policy Management, Data Analysis of security monitoring outputs, coordination of Remediation Patching, and other daily Security and Compliance efforts. Additionally, will assist in developing an automated security framework for robust deployment tools and processes, leveraging various scripting languages and open-source solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Provide technical leadership and direction in the DevSecOps domain.
2. Identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations.
3. Implement security best practices and configuration management.
4. Determines causes of security violations and recommends corrective actions to ensure data security.
5. Researches, recommends, and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance data systems security.
6. Automated security controls
7. Perform code security analysis utilizing automated tools and provide feedback to the development team.
8. Conducts vulnerability and security risk assessment of the assets of the company.
9. Assist with doing risk assessments for future development and integration projects.
10. Assist with doing risk assessments with third party vendors.
11. Monitors compliance of information security procedures and policies and reports infringements to appropriate personnel.
12. Researches and develops data and development security policies, procedures, presentations, and documentation.
13. Train development teams on security best practices
14. Performs other duties and tasks as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with six years network security experience.
• Experience working with Developers and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to promote/implement the DevSecOps program throughout the organization.
• Experience in development and scripting languages. (Preferred C#, JavaScript, Java, Python, PL/SQL)
• Familiarity with Information Security frameworks/standards (i.e. CIS, NIST, RFC2196, etc).
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and VMware.
• Working knowledge of IIS and Apache configuration
• Understanding of operational security.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• Passport and valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Macintosh strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps and PowerBI
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CDP or GCSA
