Job Description

We are searching for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day email QA needs across a handful of Barkley’s email marketing clients. You’d be the champion of quality assurance - making sure everything goes out perfectly. This position is obsessed with the details and great at finding differences between creative down to every character. This partner must be great at time management, balancing the work in their queue with taking the time to do it right. This person would grow into an Email Execution Coordinator position, so attention to detail and the interest in project management is a must have.Reports to: Director, eCRMEssential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) for all email development projects, including
  • Using our QA checklist to cross-check the developed email proof compared to the original client-approved creative
  • Using Email on Acid to review how an email is rendering in various inbox providers and how it looks on a variety of devices/settings
  • Using Email on Acid to test an email’s accessibility
  • Checking all links for accuracy and UTM tracking 
  • Closely proofing for grammar and spelling, as a final check of content before client proofs
  • Work with Brand Leadership and Email Strategy on Internal and Client email reviews
  • Occasionally supporting changes in development on fast turn-arounds
Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Able to organize and manage multiple projects with time-sensitive deadlines
  • Deliver projects on time ensuring quality standards are met
  • Highlight potential risks or malfunctions and act proactively to resolve issues
  • Familiarity of HTML to understand email functionality and raise questions for improved experience
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of related work experience in a technical role involving QA
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to variety of audiences
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a desire to learn
  • Seek opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to perform effectively in the face of unfamiliar tasks and complex job responsibilities in a fast paced working environment
  • Ability to effectively balance various tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting or competing priorities
Nice to have: 
  • Working knowledge of HTML, especially email-specific HTML
  • Experience with project management software like Trello, Basecamp, JIRA, etc.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, emfluence, etc.
