We are seeking an Analyst to join our ESG Ratings research team in Norman, OK. The successful candidate will be part of ISS ESG's global research team and focus on the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative environmental and social data from corporate disclosures.

ISS ESG Ratings Analysts conduct research to evaluate a company's sustainability performance. Our analysts stand for research integrity and a thorough methodical approach, paying attention to detail in order to achieve accurate and reliable results. Our ESG research teams are based in Australia, Germany, India, the Philippines, Sweden, the UK, and the US. This candidate will work in a dynamic and international environment with emphasis on cooperation and a welcoming work atmosphere.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to an engaging and positive working environment
• Gather ESG data from company disclosures; Engage in ESG data processing, research, and analysis in line with ISS ESG methodology
• Track and monitor developments and trends in various industries of specialization
• Lead production targets and deliver research outlined in the quality standards
• Coordinate with internal partners to ensure timely and quality production
• Develop knowledge on ESG themes associated with corporate ratings; Support the ratings team through thought leadership and research publications, methodology reviews and ESG market developments monitoring; Make suggestions to evaluate new data sources
• Demonstrate proactiveness with a strong sense of work ownership
• Act as a process expert regarding production, conduct tutoring and process relevant training based on experience and industry expertise
• Participate in quality assurance procedures; Support implementation of quality control measures; Review analyst written ESG reports and manage high quality standards with ESG quality data checks

What We Need from You:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree (in a relevant field such as environmental science or international human rights is desirable but not required, knowledge of financial markets and sustainable finance are an advantage); MBA with a sustainability concentration is also desirable
• Demonstrated interest in sustainability
• Excellent English language skills (proficiency in Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese is a bonus)
• Integrity, organizational skills, a dedicated work ethic, and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Adaptability, flexibility, ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment
• Strong research and analytical skills plus a commitment to quality control
• Process data, determine salient information, and identify key trends
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
