Head Baker/Pastry Chef

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook/Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delectable pastries, cakes and desserts in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities: - Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts - Decorate pastries using various techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping - Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and place orders when needed - Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations - Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry items - Package and present pastries for catering orders or display in the restaurant Skills: - Proficiency in culinary arts with a focus on pastry preparation - Experience in food production, particularly in baking and pastry-making - Strong knife skills for precise cutting and shaping of ingredients - Excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests or fulfilling catering orders - Ability to work efficiently as a cook in a high-volume kitchen setting - Knowledge of cake decorating techniques is a plus - Familiarity with packaging requirements for to-go orders and catering services - Prior experience in a restaurant or catering establishment is preferred Join our team as a Pastry Cook and showcase your talent in creating delightful pastries that will satisfy our customers' sweet cravings.
